Hosting rails stuff and tutorials

I want to create a somewhat bigger website and was looking for a decent host for Ruby on Rails. I found a host that looks really good calledslicehost. For 20 dollar a month you get your own machine (or actually a part of it) that you can setup the way you want it. Need Java? You install it. Need Rails? You can install it. Need to reset your webserver, no problem. The nice thing about them is that they have lots of tutorials for you to create the slice you need. I am probably taking a slice to host a rails website, versions management and this weblog.
To make a quick start with rails development I bought some screencasts from Peepcode. Nice material for a low price (9 dollar each).

Bluerail is my Ruby on Rails host, with extras like gems, capistrano. And it’s located in the Netherlands.

Looks nice! But I prefer slicehost, because of the extra setup options.

Which screencast did you get?
Are they any good?

I bought the screencasts of rails from scratch 1 and rails from scratch 2, the screencast about git and the screencast about Ajax. And I bought the document about rails 2.0. Nice stuff. It is really helpful to watch another developer create good stuff.

Forgot to mention that your can buy a 5 or 10 pack. With the current dollar/euro rate a 5 pack only costs 26 euro.
