Where would we be without zero?
The dutch newspaper “de Volkskrant” is giving attention to science subjects everybody should know about. One of the topics is the number zero. Everybody uses the number now, but it wasn’t always there. According to wikipedia the Greeks had discussions about whether or not to use the zero (”How can nothing be something?”).
Without the zero programming would be really complex. Imagine making loops without the zero!
Or imagine making a program without null/nil (the object variant of zero).
